According to the evening news of CCTV13 New Channel of China Central Television (CCTV) on 2021/09/26, the first phase of Nancaofan Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Peak-shaving Storage and Distribution Station in Jinan, Shandong Province (China), had been completed and put into operation. The Project has a total investment of 1.35 billion yuan (US$207.7m) and a peak-shaving capacity of 2.5 million cubic meters per day. It is also the largest government gas storage project in China's inland area.
Suzhou Doer Gas & Chemical (DOER) is honored to have participated in the primary works of construction, installation & commissioning of the full containment storage tank, contributing to the successful completion of the project with quality works & heartfelt service.
The staion has a total liquefied natural gas reserves of 70,000 cubic meters which can be turned into 42 million cubic meters of natural gas after gasification and can be supplied to the main urban area and surrounding areas of Jinan city. Compared with the standard coal, 39% reduction of the carbon dioxide emissions can be achieved with LNG. Therefore, the Project has been listed as one of the Key Livelihood Projects in Shandong Province and key projects for Jinan city to ensure the basical realization of Peaking Carbon Dioxide Emissions (emission peak) during the period of the 14th Five-Year-Plan.
The whole project is divided into two phases. The first phase includes construction of a 30,000m3 full containment storage tank and related supporting facilities, which can meet the demand of industrial gas and residential gas for 3-5 days in the main urban area of Jinan city.
It is reported that as the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei air pollution transmission channel city, during the "14th Five-year plan", Jinan will make every effort to promote pollution reduction and carbon reduction synergistic efficiency, and basically achieve Peak Carbon Dioxide Emissions. After full production in 2022, Jinan Nancaofan LNG peak-shaving station project will not only greatly optimize the energy structure, promote the emergency load capacity against the winter "gas shortage" in urban and surrounding areas, improve the atmospheric environment, promote the conversion of old and new energy consumption, will also play an important role of ensuring the safe and stable national energy supply.
