On August 16, 2019, the 10,000 m3 bimetal full containment atmospheric LNG storage tank constructed by Doer Cryogenics for Xinjiang Xinye Group was pre-cooled and the first time filling was successful. After 10 days of performance assessment, the system of the equipment kept running smoothly, and all indicators had met or exceeded the design requirements. This marks that Doer's another 10,000 m3 atmospheric storage project had been smoothly completed.
The storage tank adopts the structure of bimetal two-layer containers: the inner/primary tank and the outer/secondary tank. The inner tank holds the cryogenic LNG liquid, and the outer tank holds the evaporated gas and thermal insulation materials. This type of structure has high safety, occupies less space, and the performance is greatly improved compared with a single containment storage tank.
The use of large scale atmospheric storage tank to store LNG is an important way to ensure the supply of gas for national economy and people's livelihood. Doer Cryogenics has been contributing to the research and development of cryogenic storage tanks on aspects of scale expansion, high-end orientation, and intelligent manufacturing, also wishing for improvement to the environment and a greener industrial development.
